Most Retired Athletes Lives In Penury .


  Nigeria athletes after retirement have not been faring well.

The list is endless from Jerry Okorodudu, Godwin Oprah etc.

While they held sway, we celebrated them. as soon they retire we forget them.

The government does not help the matter, most of these sportsmen have done well to launder the image of our country abroad positively.

In their trying time , we forget them.This attitudes would discourage serving athletes .

Developed countries treat their retirees with dignity, we should borrow a leaf from them.
