HOMELESSNESS, DESTITUTION AND MASSIVE CORRUPTION

Image result for pictures of people who sleep on the bridge lagosImage result for pictures of people who sleep on the bridge lagos  Moving round great city like Lagos could make someone sometimes nervous and sad, what some people experience on daily basis is pathetic. One of the basic necessities of life is housing or accommodation,
The birds of the air live comfortably in their nest, while some animals in the forest have their respective accommodation. It saddened my heart when I see people that lives practically under
the bridge. The newly constructed bus stop by Primero, the owner of BRT(Bus Rapid Transport)
has become accommodation of some sorts.

What are the duties of government to his citizenry ?What are the masses enjoying from the government they voted into power? A government that cant provide basic amenities to her citizens is not a responsive and responsible government.

A government that gives scant regard to the plight of her citizens should not be taken serious, government should wake up to their responsibility of taking care of their citizenry. The irony of the whole matter is that  there are many houses built everywhere by corrupt politicians and those houses are vacant nobody is occupying it. Government should take those houses forcefully and give it to people who are homeless.

SARS Reformation Long Overdue.

Special anti-robbery squad reformation  is long overdue, reports of violence, maltreatment of people in the hands of SARS officers leaves much to desire. The squad is established primarily to stem the tide of armed robbery, when idea of forming an organisation like SARS was conceived there is nothing like Yahoo-Yahoo or 419. One is surprised that they abandoned their core duties and lay siege on fraudsters, many innocent people have been killed. Government should ensure that the reformation is total, police are suppose to be friends of the masses, it is imperative they conduct themselves professionally.

END OF THE ROAD FOR IFE-IBADAN ROADS

Motorist plying Ife-Ibadan road will heave a sigh of relief temporarily after arrest of some of the Fulani men that terrorize road users almost on daily basis. Many innocent lives have been snuffed out, these undesirable elements have field days and it seems those who are suppose to check their activities are dragging their feet. Now that government is ready to combat crime on our highway, the tempo should be sustained.
