police officer dismissed after killing a 16 year old boy

A trigger happy police officer, Wilson Ufere who shot and killed a 16 year old Obinna Iwuoha has been dismissed from police force.The victim was shot at a close range by the policeman when they were having church procession.
According to police spokesperson, the errant police officer will be charge to court for murder, remember last month two policemen were sentenced to death for their involvement in killing six Igbo traders in Abuja.

Police officers should be properly train for weapon handling, the police officer in question may be drunk, some of them are unprofessional in discharge of their duty.The deed is done, the errant officer
should face the music.

Special anti-robbery squad reformation is long overdue, reports of violence, maltreatment of people in the hands of SARS officers leaves much to desire. The squad is established primarily to stem the tide of armed robbery, when idea of forming an organisation like SARS was conceived there is nothing like Yahoo-Yahoo or 419. He has been terrorizing the area for a while before he was finally caught, is jungle justice the way forward? One of the reasons why people meted out jungle justice to criminals is because of defective criminal justice system. In the 21st century we still act primitively and government look away, jungle justice encourages break down of law and order and it should be discouraged. Law enforcement agents have a lot to do, taking bribes from condemned criminals in order to set them free encourages act like this. Nigeria is not a Banana Republic.
