communal clashes or senseless killing

At least 20 people were killed yesterday in Ayahhede and oku-Iboku Itu local government area of Akwa Ibom state.Earlier this month, there was senseless killing in Ile-Ife between the Yorubas and Hausas community.

The immediate causes of some of these clashes are trivial issues like land or assault, the most painful thing is that law enforcement agent would not respond until when terrible damage has been done.

People should learn to live in unity, senseless killing is unacceptable, goverment should be more proactive in nipping these acts of senseless killing in the bud.

Policeman Beat Nursing Mother In Ibadan.

. As long as Police Service Commission would not recruit right candidates we will keep having incidents like this . A woman with her child straped to her back was molested by a policeman because she indirectly stopped him from collecting 50 naira from a bike rider. This unfortunate incidents happened in Ibadan, police have lost their respect. Beating a nursing mother is criminal and the police man should be dealt with.

Former President To Write More Letters.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is a prolific writer and he recently wrote to President Buhari on vital economic issues. Some of the points he raised in his letter are salient and if adhered to would bring conspicuous transformation. While addressing some group of women at Eko Hotel and suites, he told them he would be writing another letter very soon. My worry is this, he had the opportunity to transform this country, Lagos-Ibadan express way and other major roads were left unattended to during his regime. Trillion of dollars was spent on power during his eight years tenure, yet power supply under his watch was comatose. Nigerians are bless with expanded sense of history, posterity would someday assess individual contribution to Nigeria project.
