Arms recovered in Lagos

Cache of arms were recovered in Lagos port, the suspect has been arrested and detained.This is not the first arrest as regards importation of illegal arms this year, what is the update about the last recovery.An airforce officer, who was a member of the panel set up to investigate the syndicates behind the first arms seizure was assassinated.

Nigeria many security challenges.

Our country is besieged with diverse challenges, Boko Haram group would not stop shedding innocent blood, the reason for their agitation is vague. Fulani's Herdsmen another killer group is also a source of concern, more than 17 people were killed on the 1st Jan 2018. The shites group are Islamic fundamentalist, they have been protesting against unlawful detention of their leader and the wife. Government has the responsibility to stem the tide of violence , enough of heartless killings, a violence prone country will lack meaningful development.

How do we fare politically as a country in this outgoing year. Nigeria is a great country that is ruled by leaders that are greedy and corrupt. Political parties are formed to present candidates that would represent them in an election. Over the years electorates have been deceived by political class, electoral promises are not fulfilled. In the coming year 2018, there may not be much changes in the economy.Electorates are enjoined not to sell their votes, but they should vote for the most competent candidates.
