Independent candidacy in our democracy.

Senate approval of independent candidates is a step in the right direction, a candidate will not have to contest under any political party.There are many challenges I foresee an independent candidate will have.

1) Funding of an election is not a childs play, our democracy is one of the most expensive in the whole world.An individual who has no political inclination may not stand any chance in our political climate.

2)Lack of transparency is another issue, if a whole political party could be rigged out, rigging election of an independent candidate will not be an issue.
