A prison suppose to be a correctional facility, a place where those that are convicted of commission of crimes are rehabilitated.


My heart bled the day I saw Warri prison, it is a storey building, the facilities is overstretched.The singular reason why many people become more hardened after serving their jail time could be seen in Warri prison and some other Nigeria prison.


  The leadership knows what to do to reform the prison but would not do it.As a matter of fact, Nigeria prison is meant for the poor.If the rule of law can be uphold and every convicted offenders whether rich or poor will end up in prison, then our prison reformation will be quick.
