Arrest of masquerade for robbery.

Masquerades are not ordinary human beings, some people believe culturally they are from heaven, that is why they are being called Ara Orun i.e people from heavenly realms. Once or twice in a year masquerade festivals are celebrated by the faithful.

I am not surprised when policemen arrested some masquerades for robbery, you may want to ask what is the correlation between masquerade festivity and criminality. Youths that are jobless and hopeless seize the opportunities of the festival to rob innocent passersby.

Government should either ban or strictly regulated activities of hoodlums under the guise of celebrating masquerade festival. Those arrested should be made to face the full wrath of the law, something is not clear here, will the masquerade appear in court with his coverings or people will see who is under the regalia when the culprits appears in court.
