Trumped- up charges pervades our political atmosphere.

As 2019 electioneering draw nearer, we are expected to hear one accusation or another. Issues of one highly place officials trying to frame others has been on the increase.

Senator Dino Meleaye has cried to everyone that care to listen that he is being framed up by A.P,C led administration which he is part of.

The Senate President Bukola Saraki would not want  to be dragged into unsubstantiated allegations that he is sponsoring some hoodlums recently arrested in Ilorin. He had mention IG of police as the one behind his travails.

The current Minister of Mines Engineer Kayode Fayemi is having running battle with incumbent governor of Ekiti State.

It is not unusual that " trumped up" charges are flying everywhere, it is a common phenomenon in our political atmosphere.

POLITICS AND THUGGERY.

It will be an arduous task to separate our kind of politics from bitterness, confusion and thuggery.The recent robbery that took place in Offa where many lives were lost was linked to some hoodlums that are loyal to the senate president Bukola Saraki. As a result of idleness and joblessness many promising youths have been lured and enticed by politicians, many of them are armed to unleash terror on the opposition and innocent people. The kind of politics we practice here  lacks civility and it leaves much to desire, politics of bile will take us nowhere.The main reasons we remain undeveloped is because of purposeless leadership. Political rally should not be a rendezvous for thugs and miscreants, it should be a place where politicians marshaled their manifesto and convince electorates on why they should vote for them. Until we begin to reason logically and do the needful, then our future as a country is bleak.
