P&G Shut Down Operation in Lagos.

A year ago Procter and Gamble launched its $300m plant in Lagos, after one year of operation the factory would be shutting down operation.

Government policies on importation of raw materials and difficulties in accessing foreign exchange may be some of the reasons why they would be shutting down.

Report have it that over 120 staff have been laid off.

Where do we go from here? Government policies is sending manufacturers away, why is it difficult for government to encourage manufacturers?

Some manufacturer like Michelin closed their factory in Nigeria and moved to Ghana.

120 staff that were laid off have over 400 people that depends on them, government should wake up to their responsibilities.
Here is why P&G is shutting down its $300 million Agbara production factory

Rivers state is starting the year on a rather sad note. Killings of innocent people leave much to desire.About 15 people were gruesomely murdered. Who are those sponsoring these wanton destruction of lives and properties.Governor Nyesom Wike has placed a bounty of 200million naira on the perpetrators. Taking a cursory look at this incident,  these hoodlums are tools in the hand of politicians,  it has been very difficult for an average politicians to play by the rule of the game. The measure the governor is putting in place now is Medicine after death. The number one role of any responsible government is security of lives and properties. If government fails in this regard then our situation becomes hopeless.
