Describing Rivers State politics as one of the deadliest is saying the obvious.Demise of a ward leader recently leaves much to desire.

Our politics is do or die, innocent blood are shed on daily basis for political reasons.The most painful thing is that killers most of the time go Scott free, the long arms of the law never caught up with them.

Sponsors of this senseless killings are known, but our system is not designed to apprehend and prosecute men of timber and caliber.

Killings of perceived enemies is not politicking but a criminal act which should not be swept under the carpet.

Nigeria police have come out to criminalize this act and also threatened to prosecute culprits for attempted murder. Everyone  should wake up to the reality that some unscrupulous elements will go all the hog either by hook or crook to make money.
