SLAVE TRADE IN LIBYA | SHOCKING DOCUMENTARY

Modern slave trade:LIBYA CONNECTION.

Nigerians are resilience people and very skillful. The government has failed in its responsibility to make life meaningful for the masses. In a bid to survive and overcome challenges face by an average youth in Nigeria, the challenges of unemployment, hopelessness and bleak future. Our youth have decided to pitch their tent abroad, and they believe the only way they could get there is through the dessert. Libya government now auction our youth, they are being sold as slaves to highest bidder, anyone that refused to be sold is shot. Slave trade was abolished many years ago, Libya government is re-introducing slave trade and the whole world is watching,  for how long would this continue,  time will tell.

OBJ ON HARD TALK

Are you kidding me? 7 years behind bar for murder.

Is anything wrong with our criminal justice system? The sentence given in a murder case involving Yewande that stabbed her husband to death in Ibadan is unacceptable. Sentencing her to 7 years in prison is a huge joke, the judge convicted her for manslaughter, I am short of words, this judgement will encourage violence in the society. The family of the deceased can appeal the judgement, it is unthinkable.

FAYOSE CHRISTMAS CLOTHES

Kudos to Fayose, some children will celebrate this Christmas in a joyful mood. The executive governor of Ekiti State is ready to give 10000 Christmas clothe to indigent children.  The governor should not forget that after Christmas celebration, the children would have to pay school fees in the next academic session and since he has refused to pay their  parents salary, he should also be ready to pay their school fees. After a while the cloth will worn out,  governor should ensure no child is sent out of school .

Hell of a road

A HELL OF A ROAD

Federal government affirmed that South East road is terrible. I was at Agbara today and I think Atan Agbara road should not be call road network. If you ask executive governor of Ogun state about the road he may likely tell you governance is continuum.

When government failed in their responsibility.

Aside from skill in pick pocketing, Area boys(miscreants)in Lagos are cunning. Any time it rain heavily, some guys are happy and they are very sure of making some money from ignorant motorist. There are many pot holes along Apapa Oshodi express way and those miscreants knows all the spots. As soon as there is heavy downpour due to poor drainage system the road is covered with water. Motorist find it difficult to  drive on the road, they are careful not to enter pot hole. The army of these jobless youth will be standing on the road and appear to be assisting motorist.Since they know where the pot holes on the road are,  they will intentionally direct you to where there is wider hole. As soon as your vehicle got stuck inside the pot hole,  they ask for as low as 5000 naira so that they can assist you in removing your vehicle from the ditch. If you are driving along Apapa Oshodi express way be careful.

Yearly budget and zero execution

As the year is running out, governors of each state has been presenting their budget to the state House of Assembly. The least of the budget is in billions, execution of the budget is a daunting task. They prepare budget every year and they are not bothered about execution. They come to the House of Assembly and give impeccable speech and that is the end of the budget There are budgets for the roads, yet we have bad roads.

CELEBRITY MARRIAGE

Celebrity weddings start on social media and it ends there. They have engagement in Banana Island, white wedding in Cape Town,  after a while things started to fall apart and center can't hold. More often than not it ends Tragically,  it is either one stab the other. Marriage is a journey a man or woman embark upon, they know the beginning but unaware of how its going to end.

OPEN DEFECATION, NIGERIA HIGHLY RATED.

Nigeria ranked third worldwide in open defecation, our police force rank one of the poorest in the world. Are we this backward ? Our ratings in all aspects of life has been discouraging, yet we have government in place,.most of the people that defecates in open places are mostly destitute, 20% of citizens are homeless, yet we have politicians that build houses they will never live.

ASSESSMENT TEST FOR TEACHERS.

Kaduna state government bell the cat and some other states are following suit, sequel to the assessment test conducted by Kaduna State government and abysmal performance recorded  in the test. Some states like Lagos, Bayelsa are also thinking of conducting similar test for their teachers, this will go a long way to revamping our educational system.Assessment test should not be one off thing, it should be a continuous exercise and this will definitely strengthen and reposition  our educational system.

Allegation of fraud against President Jonathan should be proved.

Attorney General of Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami indictment of Good luck Jonathan as an arrow head of pension fraud should not be swept under carpet. I know it will be swept under bridge not carpet,  5billion naira monthly withdrawal from pension account. Meanwhile Maina should come out with proof,  he that alleges must proove

Obiano win again

Congratulations to Willy Obiano  for emerging a winner in just concluded Anambra gubernatorial election. IPOB members who earlier threatened there will be no election may now bury their heads in shame. Electorates have spoken with their votes, some of the electorates sold their vote, it is good for them. People deserve the leaders they have. The governor should live up to his electoral promises and improve standard of living of Anambrans.

Mediterranean Death:Committee not necessary.

Review judicial procedure. Let some politicians go to jail. Reduce corruption and number of greener pastures desperado will reduce and invariably untimely death will be nip in the bud. Stop wasting time and resources setting up committee.  President Buhari does not need to set up any committee to look into the death of 26 Nigerians in the Mediterranean sea.

Auctioning of Africa youths in Libya.

Africa leaders build houses they will never live,  they buy cars they will never ride. We canonize thief and demonize saint, the current wave of crime going on in Libya is saddening. Auctioning of Africa youths for as low as $200. Our leaders are docile and insensitive to the plight of the citizens.

Ikoyi Whistle blower will wait longer than he could imagined.

Ikoyi whistle blower would have drawn a very big budget on how he is going to spend whooping sum of 850 million naira. The reality on ground may not be favourable to the man in question as it seems government is reneging on its promise. The Ikoyi whistle blower may have to wait for eternity, government excuses of tutoring him on how he should spend the largesse is unfounded. If government fail to honour the agreement,  nobody will be willing to divulge any information and this may mark the end of whistle blowing.

Nigeria will go far in Russia 2018

Nigeria is basking in the euphoria of World Cup qualification. We will try our best to move very far into the tournament, but I know we are not ripe enough to win the World Cup. Super Eagle coach has proven to us he has the technical -know how to occupy that position. I am not sure if Gerot Rohr would be ready to absorb all the insult Nigeria would hurls at him when the event kick off in Russia .

IG of Police is free.

The Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris said he is free to marry or date serving police officers. One of the allegations level against him by Senator Misau was that he is having illicit affairs with some junior officers. He came out to defend himself through his lawyer that he is free to do so. I will not contest that with IG,  may be he is being factual. The allegation of fraud should also be proved. He who alleges must prove. Let me add this, the IG of police should tell his subordinate that they are not free to extort,  let us say no to bribery and corruption.

Wike Vs Amaechi:

Among other reasons, one of the reason why 26 women died in the Mediterranean sea is because of bad leadership. Call it clash of the Titans, the political rivalry between Governor Wike and Minister of transport Rotimi Amaeci deepens as the two men clashed. Vehicles were damaged and security personnel of the two men became confrontational. Inept leadership remain our problem, for all I care they can go ahead and shoot each other.

Nigeria police is still the best.

The world police ranking organisation had rated Nigeria police very low. Countries like Ghana and Mali were rated above Nigeria. I would have to disagree with them,  have they forgotten some of their achievements so soon. Evans the notorious kidnapper was arrested,  a notorious armed robber Biodun godogodo was also arrested. etc. Why were they rated so low, OK I now know the reasons. Nigeria police and bribe are inseparable,  they can collect bribe from a mad man. If you go to police station to lodge a complaint,  you will pay for paper and pen to write your statement. If you loose your vehicle to armed robber and you go to station to complain they will still ask you for bribe rather than sympathize with you. I think the rating is fair, but next time the rating will be done,  we will fare better, remember police is your friend.

IPOB threat of no election should be taken with pinch of salt.

Come November 18th, the good people of Anambra State will exercise their franchise in voting for a governorship candidates. Some members of IPOB (indigenous people of Biafra) has threatened that no election will hold. They have also taken the threat ahead by one step by saying whoever votes will die. No sane person should take these people serious,  when their leader Kanu was still around,  he boasted that he will cut the head of Mr President,  Where is Kanu now? The election will hold come Nov 18. their threat should be held with a pinch of salt.

Spirit of Statues.

Call it the spirit of statues, that is the spirit that had just possess Governor Rochas of Imo State.. When South Africa president was honoured with a statue, Okorocha was taken to the cleaner.Nigeria politicians have developed thick skin and they are most of the time not move by criticism. The governor would make some people angrier when they discovered he unveiled another statue for Liberian president Johnson Sirleaf. Whose statue would be unveiled next, time will tell.

Death on the sea.

Twenty six Nigerians women were reported to have died on the Mediterranean sea, there is possibility that they were sexually molested before they sank their makeshift boats. What would make young women risk their lives to embark on a journey they may not likely return? The answer to this question is not far-fetched, every year our tertiary institution churn out thousands of graduates that flood the labour market searching for jobs that are not available. Some of these illegal immigrants are victims of wicked human trafficking cartel that promise these ladies greener pasture in Europe. The big questions is that what is government doing about this, government should intensify effort to stop human trafficking.

EL Rufai should not budge on sacked teachers.

They failed exams meant for primary four pupils and they were fired. I would have expected them to bury their heads in shame, but they protested against Kaduna state government for sacking them. Abnormality has become the order of the day, Governor EL Rufai should ensure non of those teachers return back to the classrooms. The future of Nigeria children is being mortgaged in the hands of unqualified teachers, though we all know in Nigeria elephant could fly,  EL Rufai should not budge.

Unpaid salaries fuel suicidal tendencies.

She was rescued by good people on third mainland bridge, life has become meaningless and frustrating and she was determined to kill herself. A senior civil servant in Kogi State committed suicide, between 2015 and now,  there is an unimaginable increase in suicidal rate. Salaries of civil servants remain unpaid,  some states are owing upward of 9 months salary. Pensioners and retirees could not see any light at the end of the tunnel. Lack of finances, hardship had thrown people into state of depression. Bail out fund release by the Federal government  to state government to offset backlogs of salaries was diverted by most of the governors. These are issues that needs urgent attention, we must do all in our capacity to stem suicidal tendencies.

Enforcement of law banning motorbike operators on Lagos road.

The law banning motorcyclist on major roads was enacted some couples of years ago,  like any other law the arm of government that enforce laws are the police. Modus operandi of Nigeria police in enforcement of this law is unwelcome, police should be trained to arrest people that break this law without necessarily causing bodily injury all in a bid to get law breaker apprehended. A motorbike operators that is evading arrest should not be shoved off a moving bike all in a bid to get him arrested. The life of the operator and the life of passengers he is carrying may be endangered. Government should think of more sophisticated ways to bring offenders to book rather than running after traffic offender on the street.

Dividend of democracy.

Look at the state of our road, is this the change we voted for? This is not dividend of democracy our people were promised. Government should be ready to fulfill all electoral campaign promises. Where is the budget for road rehabilitation?

Kaduna teachers and hurdle of competency test.

Governor of Kaduna State is hell bent in sacking 27000 teachers that failed the competency test in the state. It was reported that teachers involve failed primary four exams, 11000 teachers scale through. What if some of the pupils write the exam and pass, then those teachers will be in trouble. The governor should allow them to attempt the exam again, they may likely pass this time around.

Moral bankruptcy as Anthony Joshua fight on the street.

Mouth agape when I saw two responsible men with their children inside their vehicle. They parked their cars and they began to exchange blow. One was driving an SUV the other a saloon car. The children were watching their parents exchange blow. The reason for the fracas is not known, I had wanted to  take a picture. When two "responsible" adult threw caution to the wind and condescending so low to constitute public nuisance. I would not be surprise if discovered that the two Anthony Joshua were coming from church. I could imagine myself fighting in the glare of my children,  people have become morally bankrupt. There is no sense of shame anywhere, National assembly member will throw chairs at one another after stealing our money,  what a country!

Africa leaders are greedy.

Africa leaders are the same, when they are voted into power they forget about their electoral promises. Some individuals believed former president Jonathan has performed wonderfully well by conceding defeat. This is strange but true,  what would he have done, is presidency a family title. The likes of Robert Mugabe had vowed to die in power,  Kenya president will not let go. Africa will remain under developed if we continue to parade leadership that are selfish and criminally minded. Good luck Jonathan does not deserve any Laurel for relinquishing power.

Buhari may contest again.

President Muhammad Buhari from all indications will likely contest on the platform of APC for the position of president of Federal Republic of Nigeria. His chances of contesting and winning may be dicey. The opposition party are on top of their games. Buhari government have perform excellently well in fighting corruption, other economic indices are nothing to write home about. Nigerians have become poorer,  government should take a bold stem to reduce poverty.

Highly inspiring speech from Mark Zuckerberg

BELITTLE JUDICIARY

Former President Jonathan requested for the sum of 1 billion naira to appear as a witness in an on-going trial involving former spokesperson of PDP(People Democratic Party) Olisah Metuh. In a country like ours, if truth will be told all first class politicians have immunity, because they can commit crime and get away with it.There is nothing like contempt of court, judiciary have been belittle and the reason is not far fetched. Most of our judges have been pocketed by politicians, if they summon politicians to appear before their court they disregard their order most of the time and they get away with it.Any country that discounted rule of law will never progress.
