President Buhari has now taken a bold step to fire Babachir Lawal and Oke. EFCC should not hesitate to pick them up for investigation and likely prosecution. Government that is poise to fight corruption holistically should not be distracted. Ibrahim Magu the EFCC chairman is doing a great job. Let us nip corruption in the bud and Nigeria will be great again.
It is unbelievably ridiculous that some individual are yet to link their account to BVN(biometric verification number). I remember vividly my encounter with a bank official at Diamond bank Abeokuta. I was not allow to withdraw my money, they claimed my account was not properly linked to my BVN. After making several calls to their head office my account was finally linked to my BVN. How come we have about 5million people who are yet to have BVN and they have been accessing their funds. Do they have two heads? People who avoid BVN are likely to have skeleton in their cupboard.

Senator Dino Meleaye representing Kogi West Senatorial district has been at a loggerhead with Yahya Bello the executive governor of the state. It is no longer news that backlogs of salaries remain unpaid. Determining to save the situations, Dino Meleaye is poise to give bags of rice to suffering civil servants in the state. To the opposition he is politicizing the harrowing experience civil servants are going through. I don't think civil servants would agree with opposition. An hungry man is an angry man.
When custom officers seize contraband like "rice ' they destroy few bags in public glare.The large chunk of the seizure will be shared among them, some of the bags sold to Iya Lati the woman that sell cooked rice at Oja Oba. Universities are established for a purpose, and the primary purpose of establishing a university is to train undergraduates and also empower them academically to be able to face future challenges. According to NUC(National University Commission) some universities run unaccredited courses, about 150 courses in Nigeria university remain unaccredited.Students were given admission to study those courses, what will be the fate of such students after studying rigorously and some of them paid through their nose to study unaccredited courses. It baffles me the way Nigerians are being killed in foreign countries.Many Nigerians have been killed in South Africa. An Italian policeman beats a Nigerian to death after they claimed he resisted arrest. Our citizens have suddenly becomes endangered species. Despite all the senseless killings, Jacob Zuma the president of South Africa was honoured with a statue. This killings must stop, they kill our people every now and then, is the government sensitive at all? A government that could not protect his citizens is no government, nobody had been brought to book. How long will this killings continue.?
Nigeria customs has the right to kill innocent people. Don't they? There had been report of killings of innocent people especially people that lives around border town in a gun duel between customs and smugglers. In a sane climes, it is better for a criminal to escape than killing an innocent person. All this nonsense will stop one day.
I do not understand the reason why Nigeria is in a hurry to export yams, the yams are not sufficient for local consumption, yet the Minister of Agriculture deem it fit to export yam to U.S.A. Little wonder people are dying of hunger. news have it that rotten yams were exported to the United State of America.It is logical that you can only export what is sufficient why is Mr Audu Ogbeh in a hurry ?

Federal Road Safety corps chased the owner of this vehicle and as soon as the vehicle somersaulted they stop chasing her.The woman was rescued by passersby.Imagining FRSC with firearms,this guys needs to grow up, they dont have to chase traffic offenders, if not for the timely intervention of good samaritans the woman would have lost her life. FRSC(Federal Road Safety Corps) is an agency of government that ensures our highway is secured.Will it be appropriate for them to handle firearms? House of representatives has proposed they carry firearms. Some motorist are very reckless, and in order for them to evade arrest have ran over many of these FRSC officials.I do not think carrying firearms would solve the problems, it will only leads to so many accidental discharge. Our leaders travel to western world, what are they learning from those folks, there should be a better way of tracking traffic offenders than resolving to settle for use of firearms.
I will like to salute the courage of Lagos State Commissioner of police Edgar for the on-going clamp down on hard drug users.Their is nexus between hard drugs and crime.Criminals depend on hard drugs like cocaine, indian hemp, codeine to perpetrate criminal act. A drug free society is a crime free society, effort should be intensify to fight crime and drug related offences to a standstill. Government should be ready to rehabilitate drug addicts, drug addicts needs rehabilitation and media houses should collaborate with government agencies to sensitize youth about harmful effects of drug addiction.
Nigerian travelling abroad for surgical operations are advised to be careful of some criminal elements that harvest human kidneys.This is also a wake up call to the government to rejuvenate our health system. Nigeria is a rich country, all things being equal we have no business travelling abroad for medical attention, it is a shame that a country as rich as Nigeria would have her citizen travelling abroad for what we could handle locally.

Senator Dino Melaye is a distinguished Senator of Federal Republic of Nigeria, he is one of the most controversial senator in the upper house.Some couple of days ago he offended the sensibilities of some Nigerians on social media by flaunting his wealth. According to the senator, he is obsessed with powerful automobiles and his penchant for automobiles have no limits.Nigerians are poor because we have leaders that have stolen the country blind, many children are out of schools, some people could not make ends meet, yet someone who suppose to be a senator could flaunt his wealth in the midst of hardship. Nigerians should not allow people who have no vision and corrupt to lead them again, if Dino Melaye could sell two of his cars and use the money to pay schools fees of children sent out of school, then he would have put smile in the mouth of some people rather than flaunting ill-gotten wealth.

The allegations leveled against IGP(Inspector General of Police) should not be wished away.He was alleged to have impregnated two serving police officers.There are also allegations of fraud and promotion racketeering,Senate had set up committee to look into the allegations. If the head is bad, definitely other parts of the body will be greatly affected, police force needs leaders that are upright and discipline.The committee sitting to investigate the allegations should be sincere and prompt in their investigations.

Standing trial in Nigeria will be a very good option for any potential elite offenders.Dieziani must have gotten a brain wave to have suggested her trial in Nigeria. She is aware our justice system is comatose, and she can buy judgement here but not in Uk.May I suggest she is deported to Asia countries if possible to stand trial.
Masquerades are not ordinary human beings, some people believe culturally they are from heaven, that is why they are being called Ara Orun i.e people from heavenly realms. Once or twice in a year masquerade festivals are celebrated by the faithful. I am not surprised when policemen arrested some masquerades for robbery, you may want to ask what is the correlation between masquerade festivity and criminality. Youths that are jobless and hopeless seize the opportunities of the festival to rob innocent passersby. Government should either ban or strictly regulated activities of hoodlums under the guise of celebrating masquerade festival. Those arrested should be made to face the full wrath of the law, something is not clear here, will the masquerade appear in court with his coverings or people will see who is under the regalia when the culprits appears in court.
