WELCOME TO LARRYBABA BLOG

Imam that saved 300 Christians from terrorist honoured .

An Imam with a large heart, he saved more than 300 Christians from their assailants in Plateau. He deserved to be honour, the 83-year-old man has written his name in the sand of time Epitome of religions tolerance, Nigerians should celebrate the octogenarian .

JAMB humongous 7.8 billion remittal .

JAMB remission of 7.8 billion is encouraging. This is what we move us forward as a country. Past administration is void of accountability . Government agencies across board should borrow a leaf from JAMB management.

I Wonder Why People celebrates Inept leaders.

Sometimes,  I wonder why people celebrate corruption and corrupt politicians. What could be the motivations behind their excitement and enthusiastic gesture. The last interaction an average electorates would have with people who govern them is when they come seeking votes. As soon as result of elections is announce and a winner is declared, people find it difficult to access people they voted into position of authority. Standard of living of the masses is nothing to write home about, yet people fantasizes a better life. Corrupt politicians should not be celebrated, util we begin to call a spade a spade, we would be at the mercy of corrupt individuals who are bereft of leadership skills.

Bukola Saraki Off To PDP.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki has finally dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC. Saraki announced this via his verified Twitter page on Tuesday. He wrote “I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC).” It is expected that Baba Oloye would finally bow out, Bukola Saraki has finally left APC for PDP. Details later…. Bukola Saraki ✔ @bukolasaraki I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 5:59 PM - Jul 31, 2018 1,656 2,855 people are talking about this

Leah Sharibu Forgotten?

It seems Nigeria government has forgotten one of the kidnapped Dapchi girls Leah Sharibu in captivity. Many of the captured girls were released to the federal government on an agreed terms. Leah Sharibu refused to denied her faith when compelled by the terrorist, government is no longer determined to negotiate her freedom. To compound the problem, we are moving closer to election year and it is likely government would not have time for more important issues, electioneering would be the other day. Leah Sharibu will be free someday.

Certificate Scandal among Politicians .

The senator representing Osun state in the upper legislative chamber and PDP candidate for gubernatorial seat is enmeshed in certificate scandal. It seems some of our politicians are involve in one certificate mess or another. The senator representing Kogi West Dino Meleaye certification was also contested. Ademola Adeleke claimed to have bagged a degree from a university in the U S A . The school authority refuted his claim, he enrolled as a student but never graduated. In a sane country, certificate forgery is a grievous offence. One of the reasons we are backward is because some of our leaders could not endure demands of academic rigor to bagged a degree or diploma. Little wonder they are fantastically corrupt, the one who forged certificate will steal money.

Police team visit to Saraki and the rule of law.

After a futile waiting period for the Senate President Bukola Saraki to air his view about Offa robbery incidents. Police investigative team interrogated him in his office. He told them he had no link with Offa robbery suspects. Our law is divided into two broad category, one for the rich, another for the poor. Why would people who make the laws break it? A popular saying that when Mohammed refuse to meet the mountain, mountain would meet Mohammed suffice here.

Police Invasion Of Saraki Home.

The law of the land is intended for both the poor and the rich. Why would an individual who does not have immunity refuse to appear for questioning . The Senate president is not above the law, let him submit himself to the law enforcement agents   He needs to clear the air on the allegations of sponsoring robbers arrested in Offa where many lives were lost . Police have the constitutional right to invite anyone including high ranking politicians It is high time we woke up to our responsibility as a country.

PDP To Rebrand.

Peoples Democratic party is strategising to wrestle power from ruling party. One of the strategies  put in place is change of name  The party had set up a panel to look into this, change of name is good, but is it going to wipe off painful memory people have about the party ? The name may eventually change but practitioners remain unchanged.

Political Killings is barbaric 😈

The killings of PDP chairman in Apapa leaves much to desire. He was shor at a political gathering  in the leg and he eventually gave up the ghost . Though, police have made some arrest, the crux of the matter is how long shall we continue to kill for political reasons. Desperate politicians have got nothing to offer the masses.

Cash for Vote, Ekiti State as case study.

Most people don't understand the cons of collecting money from politicians in order to sell their votes. For instance, the just concluded Ekiti governorship election was vitiated with inducements from aspirants. Some individuals collected 4000 naira in exchange for their votes. Voting for candidates of one choice is an inalienable right  Mathematucally, electorates that collected 4000 naira from politicians would have to spend 3 naira in a day if they were to spend the 4000 naira for a period of four years  The way forward is to elect purposeful leaders , selling your vote is dangerous

Pastor made members fall under the anointing forcefully .

Religion still remain opium of the peopke, people decides where and how to worship God  This pastor would want his member to fall under the anointing whether gently or forcefully . He was a bit aggressive in his bid to carry out deliverance exercise . Those that refused to fall under the anointing were forcefully brought down. watch video here

Arrest of Suspects indicted in Plateau Killings

These are suspects indicted in the onslaught that took place in the Plateau. They were arrested in different location by the military authority. Several lives were lost in the onslaught by these marauders. There are questions begging for answers, these criminal have sponsors, who are their collaborators? Arresting them would not stop the act, they should be pressured to revealed who their sponsors are   Sweeping  genocide case like this under carpet would be a great injustice to the country and the memory of the dead.

Most Retired Athletes Lives In Penury .

Nigeria athletes after retirement have not been faring well. The list is endless from Jerry Okorodudu, Godwin Oprah etc. While they held sway, we celebrated them. as soon they retire we forget them. The government does not help the matter, most of these sportsmen have done well to launder the image of our country abroad positively. In their trying time , we forget them. This attitudes would discourage serving athletes . Developed countries treat their retirees with dignity, we should borrow a leaf from them.

Ending Insurgency In One Month Not Feasible .

PDP presidential hopeful former vice president Atiku Abubakar has promised to end insurgency one month after he becomes the president elect. Nigeria problem aside from corruption is insecurity. Any president who has what it takes to fight insurgency to a stand still would be embrace by the people.  Bringing an end to insurgency is key, but it is largely difficult to believe aspirants  Nigeria would have to look at Atiku Abubakar antecedents if at all they will consider him.. Ending Boko Haram insurgency in a month is not feasible

Policemen Set Ablaze.

Men of Nigeria police force face a lot of challenges on daily basis  Some couple of weeks ago, seven police men were shot dead in Abuja. In Edo state four policemen met their untimely death in the hands of criminals who shot at them before setting their vehicle ablaze.  What a waste of life!

When the prophecy failed in Ekiti Election.

It is somewhat difficult to separate politics from religions. Every human being is a political animal, we all participate in poliitical activities whether directly or indirectly  It is also not new that before any election, prophecy from renown prophets would have gone out  as to who would win the election  When a prophet declared that PDP would be victorious at the election in Ekiti it went viral. Now that PDP has lost, what happened to the prophecy? watch this

Vox populli Vox Dei

The people of Ekiti have spoken, they came together and voted Dr Kayode Fayemi . Electorates are wiser now, in spite of inducements from PDP they still went ahead not to vote against their conscience  Power absolutely reside with the people, the earlier politicians know the better it is.

Sell Your Vote And Ruin Your Future...........LARRYBABA.

As long as people collect money from politicians in order to vote for them, the standard of life would not improve  Sahara underground reporter caught PDP on camera giving out money to voters . People who sell their votes sell their future. We would continue to have  infrastructure  decay if right people are not voted into power. Watch Video Here

VOTERS APATHY EXPECTED IN EKITI ELECTION.

The only time politicians listen to electorates is when election is near, they reel out the same old manifestos of providing free health service, good roads and education. They go as far as begging for votes from the electorates, the same masses they have neglected . Civil servants backlogs of Salaries remain unpaid, yet government entice them with stomach infrastructure. The political atmosphere in Ekiti State is very tense, 70% of pvc were not collected. It is obvious we would experience voters apathy. Would people come out to vote under tense conditions, this is an election not war.

Graphic Video: Cameroonian Soldiers Extrajudicial killings of Children.

Cameroonian soldier were indicted in extra-judicial killings of little children and their mother. They were labelled Boko Haram, this is disgusting, are the little children also culpable ?

Croatia Fire Fighters patriotism.

This portends patriotism, Croatia fire fighters were enjoying world cup match between their country and other team. They left the viewing center abruptly when they were called for emergency, We may borrow a leaf from their action, how prompt are our fire fighters, police in responding to emergency. Some medical facilities, rather than saving the life of gun shot victims would be asking for police report before commencement of treatment.

Ekiti Election May Not Be Peaceful

Ekiti indigenes would be going to the poll come Saturday 14th of July. From all indications, the election would decides who hold sway for a period of another 4 years. The incumbent governor Ayodele Fayose was mal handle by policemen during rounding off campaign of PDP. Whether the election would be free and fair will be determined by so many factors.

Ngige Blunder At APC Rally

Chris Ngige while campaigning for DR Fayemi in Ekiti State committed a blunder. He asked electorates erroneously to return Fayose, he meant to say Fayemi. Governor Fayose thank him for making such mistakes. Differentiating between Fayose and Fayemi for a man from Ibo extraction is a big deal. Electorates on Saturday would determine who would be returned on Saturday.

Loss Of Jobs Looms In Tobacco Industry.

Government hike in excise duty would greatly affect beverages and tobacco company. This was revealed by the senate committee on Finance. The increase would lead to massive loss of jobs, in as much as the government wants to increase revenue, the plight of workers should be put into consideration. Government policy should be geared towards giving citizens quality life not making them poorer  Also, going forward government should carry stake holders along before policy formulations.

Nigerians Cried For Help In Libya Prison.

They are Nigerians, they are determined to make a better life abroad. Unfortunately they were stuck in Libya, many of them might have lost their lives in the desert, but they are lucky to be alive. Held incommunicado in a prison, they cried for help, how soon would the help come?

Woman Caught Picking Used Sanitary Pads.

Craze for money, inordinate ambition would drive some folks into committing heinous crime. The woman in the picture was caught picking sanitary pads and babies diapers from dunghill. She was accosted by passerby, the item retrieved from her and set ablaze. Ladies should be careful how they dispose these materials, ritual killers are on the prowl.

NYSC Certificate forgery May Be Unfounded.

To hold political position in Nigeria you must be ready for vilification. People who does not want to be stained avoid murky political water. It is not new that people dig deep into political opponent past and try to smear their integrity . For someone to have hold ministry of finance for a while now, she was the commissioner for finance in Ogun State. The allegation that she forged NYSC is unfounded . Let NYSC clear the air on this matter once and for all.Politics is not suppose to be do or die.

OYO Installed CCTV Camera.

Oyo State government in a bid to improve security of lives and properties in the metropolis has taken a giant step to installed CCTV in some black spots. CCTV is meant to exposed criminals in their nooks and crannies, installation of these gadgets is a step in the right direction. Since government is continuum, would the incoming government embrace and sustain this idea?. I also hope in the nearest future the installed camera would still be intact and also maintain to work properly.

After Their Church was Razed, Some Christians Still Worshiped .

After their church was razed by supposedly Fulanis herdsmen, christians  in one of the villages came together to worship their God. The killings was hinged on the basis that 300 cows were rustled and this leads to reprisal which led to death of 86 people. Devout Christians would always worship their God come rain come shine.

Reverend Father Disguised As Beggar And Sat At The Church Entrance

I like this video of a Reverend Father who disguised as a beggar and sat at the gate of his church   Not even one member of his church look in his direction . He was chased away until he revealed his true identity. Do we practice what we preach? There are many church goer but few are doers . Some Pastors Accused Of Hate Speeches.

When pastors speak against senseless killings, we chide them. We tag it hate speeches, political thugs infiltrate herdsmen and they unleash terror on innocent souls. Some pastors that are very bold speak against this injustice, keeping quiet would compound the problem. All hands must be on deck to end this reign of terror, let us speak with one voice . Nigeria belong to all of us, we should not be deceived, this senseless killings is politically motivated.

Is SuicideThe Only Way Out Of Life Challenges ?

Life to some people is becoming very uninteresting, no thanks to life challenges.Every human would face one challenges or the other, while some surmount their challenges others capitulate. Those who failed to conquer their challenges sometimes resolve to committing suicide, after he had made frantic effort to succeed he  failed repeatedly. The man in this picture was in his early twenties, he set himself ablaze due to frustration and hopelessness. Along Idi-Iroko border, another unidentified man hung himself in an incomplete building. Is suicide the only way out of life frustrations ?

State Police To Be or Not To Be.

Whether to be or not to be, debate on state policing is on-going. The demerits of having state police outweighs the advantages if there is any. Imagine that Offa robbers were arrested by state police, would the investigation see the light of the day. Nigeria is not ripe enough to adopt state policing, seating governors would oppress the opposition using them. Rather than advocating for state policing, Federal government should equip existing security apparatus. Some of the states find it difficult to pay civil servants.Backlogs of salaries are owed yet they want additional burdens.

Killing Of NYSC Member In Abuja Condemnable .

S Her dream was cut short by a trigger happy policeman in Abuja.Miss Linda Igwetu would have completed service to her father land in a matter of few days. The policeman in question shot at the vehicle conveying her, she was hit by the bullets and because help did not come on time she bled to death. She was taken to some hospitals for emergency treatment but they refused to attend to her because they could not provide police report. We make laws, implementing those laws is an issue, some of our medical practitioners do not have modicum of feelings for human lives. Asking for police report from gunshot victims before commencement of treatment is the height of absurdity. The erring policeman should be made to face the full wrath of the law to serve as deterrent to others.

Alao Akala May Become Next Governor Of Oyo State, But...............

Former governor of Oyo State Otunba Christopher Alao Akala has declared his intention to run for governorship position in Oyo State. He was a governor under the umbrella of PDP, and he had since decamped to APC to pursue his political ambition. Alao Akala performance as the then governor of Oyo state was not bad, under his leadership many roads were built and other notable projects were put in place. The only downside to his administration then was the mere fact that he allowed NURTW  members to unleash terror on innocent residents in Ibadan. Terror was unleashed on Ibadan residents, people were killed in their numbers because a sitting governor was  lackadaisical Now, that he is planning to return. I hope he would have learnt from his mistakes and do the needful.

Another Tanker Explosion Averted

Another disaster would have occurred if not for the prompt intervention of the fire service men. A petrol tanker busted open and spilled its content. It is obvious we never learnt any lesson from Otedola bridge explosion. Little wonder life expectancy is terribly low, God have mercy.

P&G Shut Down Operation in Lagos.

A year ago Procter and Gamble launched its $300m plant in Lagos, after one year of operation the factory would be shutting down operation. Government policies on importation of raw materials and difficulties in accessing foreign exchange may be some of the reasons why they would be shutting down. Report have it that over 120 staff have been laid off. Where do we go from here? Government policies is sending manufacturers away, why is it difficult for government to encourage manufacturers? Some manufacturer like Michelin closed their factory in Nigeria and moved to Ghana.  120 staff that were laid off have over 400 people that depends on them, government should wake up to their responsibilities.

Why Nigeria Is Poor.

Mikel Obi Father Regain Freedom.

Before the eliminating game between Nigeria and Argentina, Super Eagle captain Mikel Obi must have been informed that his father was kidnapped. The hoodlums seized his father and the driver, they asked for 10m naira ransom before they were dislodged by policemen. Idle youths have taken to crime to make ends meet. The perpetrators should be fished out and prosecuted.Kudos to Mikel for being patrotic, he was determined and he played his heart out despite the challenge.

Obasanjo May Not Escape Prosecution.............Itse Sagay.

Professor Itse Sagay said former president Olusegun Obasanjo would not escape prosecution if need be. Some couple of weeks ago Obasanjo re- united with Afenifere a pan Yoruba group, in attendance at the meeting were people who had criticized him when he was in power. His fraternization with this group may be strategy to curry their favour in case of any intimidation from power that be. Since nobody is above the law, prosecuting whoever is guilty of misappropriation of funds should not be a big deal. Until we start to bring past leaders who erred into justice, Nigeria would remain stagnant.

Previous World Cup Winners.

Who are the previous World Cup winners? There have been 20 finals, with Brazil the most successful country with five titles. 1930 - Uruguay 1934 - Italy 1938 - Italy 1950 - Uruguay 1954 - West Germany 1958 - Brazil 1962 - Brazil 1966 - England 1970 - Brazil 1974 - West Germany 1978 - Argentina 1982 - Italy 1986 - Argentina 1990 - West Germany 1994 - Brazil 1998 - France 2002 - Brazil 2006 - Italy 2010 - Spain 2014 - Germany

Nigeria police are no longer corrupt

Assistant Commissioner Of Police came out to defend policemen on the road. According to him, he traveled for 3hrs from Ibadan to Ekiti and not a single policeman asked him for bribe despite the facts that he counted monies to entice them. Based on his inference, should we now conclude that Nigeria police are corruption free  We love to deceive ourselves in this part of the world, rather than calling a spade a spade we call it agricultural implements. You and I know that 90% of our police force are fantastically corrupt. Some couple of days ago I saw some military personnel blocking the road during environmental sanitation exercise. Is that the job of a soldier? Killings of innocent people by supposedly herdsmen is rampant, why can't we deployed those soldiers to such places , I think we have a long way to go.

$322m Abacha loots.

$322m Abacha loots were to be shared among poor household. Some of the stolen funds were repatriated from foreign country. What if the government chooses to build infrastructure and fix the epileptic power problem. With regular power supply  unemployment would be reduced . Sharing of the money is a step in the wrong direction  How much would get to an individual, it is obvious it would not evenly shared .At the end of the day large chunks of the money would be relooted .
