It is a cheering news that much awaited bills has been passed. Not too young to run bills is now a law. Youths from 30 years can now contest for political positions unhindered. Now, the crux of the matter is this, our democracy is very expensive, how many of these youths will be able to fund their election.. Is there going to be a law that would downplay money politics. Until when that is done,never too young to run bills would be a mirage.

Could it be true that former Taraba State governor has been sentenced to 14 years in prison. He was found guilty of allegations that borders on fraud, the judge did not allow option of fine. Amount to the tune of 1.64 billion was misappropriated under his watch. There are many questions begging for answer, Is there any governor that has gone to prison on allegation of corruption in this country? Where is Adamawa former governor Bala Ngilari that was convicted of corruption ? The judgement would not hold water, very soon higher court will upturn it.

Professor Oloyede declared that JAMB under him could conveniently pay its bills, the organisation is being run with transparency and accountability. There is nothing wrong in being ambitious, but the problem is how have they been able to impact people that vote them into position of authority. Do we have in place structures that would force past leaders to be accountable for their past leadership roles before seeking for another vacant political position. Come to think of it, are they the only qualify candidate in their constituency? There are one thousand and one candidates that are more qualify yet we keep recycling the same set of people, this democracy is laughable.

By my analysis this may be the end of the case, the senator was alleged to have given firearms to hoodlums to unleash terror on perceived opponent . Justice delayed is justice deny, rule of law should be uphold, no one should be above the law. Nigeria police should ensure the case is not sweep under the carpet.

Corporal punishment is allowed in some of our school, but I think this is to the extreme. What was going on in the heart of the teacher when carrying out this ignoble act. Government should not let this lie low, the culpabilty of everyone involved should be established and they should be punished.

Nigeria soldier would never be friendly with police. They are both security apparatus with different job description. Most of the men in black are overzealous, there has been many instances of extra-judicial killings. It is the duty of the police to arrest suspect and charge him to court, the court of competent jurisdiction reserve the right to determine fate of a suspects.; Police has no right to shoot and kill suspects.After a soldier was mistaken for an armed robber, he was shot and killed by the police. His colleagues on revenge mission forceful removed the divisional police officer from the station, only God would tell if the DPO will return home alive. Lawlessness is not the way forward.

Who created the level of insecurity we experience today? The moment their security details are withdrawn they feel really unsafe. In a country where 75 percent are either unemployed or underemployed , an average lawmaker earn whooping sum of money. The anti-dote to insecurity is job creations, also unnecessary allowance received by lawmakers should be slashed.They may not likely be free and they would always need police protection if youths are not fully engage in productive ventures.

Government should not only build office complex. they should also build more prisons and rehabilitate existing one. Judiciary arm of government should also discharge their duty without fear or favour. EFCC on-going onslaught against Yahoo boys should be sustained, every culprits should be brought to book.
